Qwait Help Center

Guides for Qwait: create a queue, share its QR code, call the next person, sell event tickets, scan tickets at the gate, credits and billing, and fixes for common problems.

Getting started

What Qwait is, your account, the dashboard and credits.

  • What is Qwait? — Qwait is a paperless queue and ticket system that works in the phone's browser. People join your queue or book a ticket by scanning a QR code, then see their turn live on their phone. No app to install.
  • Create your account — Tap Start free, enter your name, mobile number, email and a password, then tap Create account. Your first 100 people are free, and you don't need a card.
  • A tour of your dashboard — The dashboard shows who's waiting now, how many you served today, your credits, live queues and coming events. On a phone, the bar at the bottom takes you to Ques, Events, My Turns and Help.
  • How credits work — One person in a queue or one event ticket uses one credit. Your first 100 are free. After that you buy prepaid packs, from ₹3.50 down to ₹2.00 a person, valid 12 months, with no auto-debit.

Set up a queue

Create a queue, opening hours, booking ahead.

  • Create a queue — Tap + and pick Simple que (or Clinic). Give the queue a name and the time each person takes, choose Walk-in or On a schedule, and tap Create Que. Switch it Live and share its QR code.
  • Set opening hours and let people book ahead — Choose On a schedule when you create a queue, or later in its Settings. Pick the days and hours it opens, then choose how far ahead people can book under People can book. The queue goes live by itself during those hours.

Share your queue

QR code, link, poster and the TV display.

  • Share your queue's QR code and link — Open the queue and tap the QR icon (QR & link) at the top. Show the QR code on screen, tap Share to send the link on WhatsApp, or tap Print poster for an A4 sign. People scan it with their phone camera to join.
  • Print a QR poster for your counter — Open the queue's QR & link screen and tap Print poster. Qwait makes an A4 poster with the queue's name, QR code and how-to steps, ready to print or to save with Download.
  • Show the queue on a TV or tablet — Open the queue and tap Display (Display board on a computer). It opens a full-screen board showing who's being served, who's next and the wait time. Open the same link on a smart TV, tablet or a laptop plugged into a TV.

Run the queue

Call the next person, walk-ins and no-shows.

  • Call the next person and mark them served — Open the queue to see everyone waiting, in order. Tap the first person and then the megaphone to call them, then tap the tick when they're served. Everyone's place and expected time update on their phones straight away.
  • Add a walk-in or phone booking — On the queue's page, tap the round Add person button, type their name (and mobile number, if you have it) and tap Add. They get the next token. You can send it to them on WhatsApp in one tap.
  • How no-shows work — When you call someone, they get a few minutes to come to the counter. Mark people Here as they arrive: they go ahead of anyone who hasn't come. The no-show rule (Settings, under Rules) says what happens to someone not here.

Set up an event

Create an event, tickets, coupons and getting paid.

  • Create an event and sell tickets — Tap + and then New event. Enter the name, venue and dates, and tap Create event. Then add a ticket, choose how you get paid and switch Tickets on sale on. Share the sale link or its QR code, and people book on their phone.
  • Get paid for tickets — In the event's Settings, open Tickets & payments, then Getting paid. Switch on Cash at the counter, UPI to you directly, Your own payment link or Online payment through your own gateway. Money goes straight to you, with no commission. UPI, links and online payment start once Qwait approves you and the event.

On event day

Scan tickets at the gate, checkpoints and attendance.

  • Scan tickets at the gate — In the event's Settings, open Checkpoints and add a gate for each volunteer phone. Each gate gets a 6-digit PIN. Volunteers open the scanner link, enter the PIN and tap Scan tickets. Green means let them in. No account is needed.
  • Let people in by booking order, with volunteers — Turn on Admit in booking order under Settings → Checkpoints. Add volunteers under Settings → Team. Volunteers see today's line with a Call button and Skip, and the display board's List view shows it on a screen. Only the top booking can be scanned in; anyone else sees "Your turn is about to come".

Joining a queue

For people booking a token or waiting in line.

  • Join a queue or book a token — Scan the queue's QR code with your phone camera, or open the link you were sent. Type your name (and mobile number, if asked) and slide to book. Your token and expected time show on your phone. No app needed.
  • Check your place in the queue — After you join, your phone shows your token, how many people are ahead and about when it's your turn. It updates by itself. Keep the page or its WhatsApp link to check again, and use Leave queue if you can't come.

Event tickets

For people who booked an event ticket.

  • Find your event ticket again — Your tickets are on the booking page you saw after paying. Open it again from the WhatsApp message or link you saved, or under My Turns → Event tickets if you were signed in. Show the QR code at the entrance.

Troubleshooting

Fixes for scanning, payments and messages.

  • Fix: the camera won't scan a QR code — Most often the browser was blocked from using the camera. Allow the camera for qwait.in in your browser's settings and try again. Otherwise, close other apps using the camera, add light, or type the code printed under the QR.
  • Fix: I paid, but it isn't confirmed — Payments complete even if the payment window closed or you switched to your UPI app, because the payment gateway tells Qwait directly. Wait a few minutes and reopen the page. Still not there? Raise a request under Payment or billing and pick the payment.
