Fix: the camera won't scan a QR code
Most often the browser was blocked from using the camera. Allow the camera for qwait.in in your browser's settings and try again. Otherwise, close other apps using the camera, add light, or type the code printed under the QR.

What you see
One of these:
- Camera access was blocked. Allow the camera for this site in your browser settings, then try again.
- The camera is being used by another app. Close it and try again.
- The camera only works on a secure (https) page.
- Or the camera opens, but nothing happens when you point it at the code.
Most likely: the camera was blocked
The first time, your browser asks whether Qwait may use the camera. If you tapped Block, it remembers that.
Chrome on Android
- Tap the icon to the left of the address bar.
- Tap Permissions (or Site settings), then Camera, and choose Allow.
- Reload the page.
Safari on iPhone
- Tap aA in the address bar, then Website Settings.
- Set Camera to Allow.
- Reload the page.
If there's no camera option, check the phone's own settings. Your browser needs to be allowed to use the camera.
Or: another app has the camera
Close video calls, other camera or scanner apps, then try again.
Or: the code won't read
- Add light, and avoid glare on screens and glossy posters.
- Hold the phone 15–30 cm away, with the whole code inside the frame.
- For tickets on another phone's screen, turn that screen's brightness up.
Still not working? Type the code
- Joining a queue: type the link printed under the QR code into your browser, or the queue's code on qwait.in.
- At the gate: type the code printed under the ticket's QR into Or type the ticket code and tap Check.
