Let people in by booking order, with volunteers

Turn on Admit in booking order under Settings → Checkpoints. Add volunteers under Settings → Team. Volunteers see today's line with a Call button and Skip, and the display board's List view shows it on a screen. Only the top booking can be scanned in; anyone else sees "Your turn is about to come".

For rides and counters where people go one booking at a time, Qwait can keep a line: bookings in order of time slot, then token. The person at the top is next. Once they're scanned in, they drop off and the next one moves up.

Turn on booking order

  1. Open the event and tap Settings, then Checkpoints.
  2. Under Entry order, tick Admit in booking order.

At Entry, the scanner now admits only the booking at the top of today's line. Anyone else sees Your turn is about to come, with how many are ahead of them and who's next. If they should go in anyway, tap Skip the line · let in now.

Add volunteers

  1. Open the event and tap Settings, then Team.
  2. Enter the volunteer's mobile number or email, pick Volunteer and tap Add. If they don't have an account yet, send them the invite link.

Volunteers log in and land on the line. They don't see bookings lists, money or settings.

Work the line

The top of the line sits in a big card with three buttons:

ButtonWhat it does
CallRings the person. Their number is never shown.
SkipThey haven't turned up. They go to the end of the line and can still come in whenever they arrive.
ScanOpens the scanner to let them in.

Everyone else is listed below, each with a call button. A skipped booking shows Skipped and a button to put them back in their place.

Show the line on a screen

Open the event's Display board, then tap List view at the bottom. It shows one column, the top of the line in big type, which suits a TV turned on its side. Tap Board view to switch back. The screen remembers your choice.

  • Scan tickets at the gate — In the event's Settings, open Checkpoints and add a gate for each volunteer phone. Each gate gets a 6-digit PIN. Volunteers open the scanner link, enter the PIN and tap Scan tickets. Green means let them in. No account is needed.
  • Create an event and sell tickets — Tap + and then New event. Enter the name, venue and dates, and tap Create event. Then add a ticket, choose how you get paid and switch Tickets on sale on. Share the sale link or its QR code, and people book on their phone.
