It takes about a minute. You can change everything later in the queue's Settings.

Steps

  1. Tap the round + button (on a computer, New Que). Pick Simple que, or Clinic to start with patient tokens on a Monday–Saturday schedule. The other cards are for events, game arenas and hotels; Not sure? opens a chat with us.
  2. Type the Que Display Name, for example Morning Clinic. People see this name when they join, and the display board shows it too.
  3. Check the Link. Qwait suggests one from the name, like qwait.in/morningclinic. You can change it to 3–40 lowercase letters, numbers or dashes. You'll see Available when it's free.
  4. Set the Duration: about how long each person takes, in hours, minutes and seconds. Qwait uses it to work out everyone's expected time.
  5. Choose whether people must give a Mobile number (Optional or Required). Choose Required if your team calls people back.
  6. Under When does it run?, pick one:
  7. Tap Create Que.

Next: go live and share

  • Walk-in queues start Offline. On the queue's page, switch it Live when you're ready. On a phone, tap the dot next to the queue's name at the top.
  • Scheduled queues go live by themselves during opening hours.

Then share the QR code. See Share your queue's QR code and link.

Questions

How many queues can I have?

As many as you like. Queues, counters and team members are unlimited. You pay only per person who joins. See How credits work.

What does "Most people waiting" do?

It caps how many people can wait at once. When the queue is full, new people can't join until someone is served. For scheduled queues, the same box sets Tokens per day.

  • Set opening hours and let people book ahead — Choose On a schedule when you create a queue, or later in its Settings. Pick the days and hours it opens, then choose how far ahead people can book under People can book. The queue goes live by itself during those hours.
  • Share your queue's QR code and link — Open the queue and tap the QR icon (QR & link) at the top. Show the QR code on screen, tap Share to send the link on WhatsApp, or tap Print poster for an A4 sign. People scan it with their phone camera to join.
  • Call the next person and mark them served — Open the queue to see everyone waiting, in order. Tap the first person and then the megaphone to call them, then tap the tick when they're served. Everyone's place and expected time update on their phones straight away.
