How no-shows work
When you call someone, they get a few minutes to come to the counter. Mark people Here as they arrive: they go ahead of anyone who hasn't come. The no-show rule (Settings, under Rules) says what happens to someone not here.

People wait anywhere, so sometimes they aren't there when you call. Qwait gives them a fair chance, and doesn't hold up everyone else.
How it works
- You tap someone, then the megaphone, to call them. Their phone shows it's their turn, and the grace time starts.
- Your screen counts down: Called 1:30 ago · 1:30 left. When it runs out, it says time is up.
- If they're not there, leave them: people marked Here go ahead of them.
The rules you can choose
Open the queue, tap Settings, then Rules, and look under If someone doesn't come.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Time to come after being called | Minutes they get after you call them |
| End of the queue | They go to the back of the line. For time slots: End of their slot |
| A few places back | They go behind the next few people. You choose how many. For time slots: Later slot |
| Mark missed | They're taken off the list as Missed. You can bring them back if they turn up |
| Moves before they're marked missed | After this many moves, Not here marks them missed |
What the person sees
- Moved back: their new place and expected time, straight away.
- Missed: You missed your turn. They're asked to speak to the counter, where you can put them back in line.
Questions
Someone turned up after being marked missed.
Open Missed, removed and left at the bottom of the list. Tap Bring back, and they're next in line.
Does a no-show still use a credit?
Yes. A credit is used when someone joins, whatever happens after. See How credits work.
